It has been unusually cool this week so I've been taking advantage of it and doing work in my backyard.
Yesterday I ripped up all the old electrical wiring that was in my backyard that was part of my old deck that was destroyed in the hurricanes. What was left of the deck was removed over a year ago so all the electrical conduit was exposed. It was a collection of broken conduit and corroded outlets that was still live as it powered the rope lighting and fountains in the backyard. I replaced it all with a few outdoor extension cords running along my fence plugged into a GFI that I installed into the main breaker box.
Today I moved the two big cement flower pots that are in front of the bird cage, leveled the ground under them, and then moved them back into place. Going to go by Home Depot and get some pressure treated planks to put over them and the I'll have a nice 31" deep by 8' long bench in front of the bird cage. It should be a nice place to site and interact with the birds plus I'll be able to stand on it to reach the top of the cage.
I want to go over and pickup the planks right away so that I can finish the bench but not sure how I'll fit 8 foot long planks in a Vette. It's times like this that I wish I has a second small utility car like a Toyota Matrix.
