Finally feeling myself again after last week's surgery although I feel a bit like a Raggedy Ann Doll with all these stitches still in me that don't come out until next week.
Spent most of today taking back my patio from BlueBoy our Hyacinth Macaw. He wasn't too destructive at first when we started letting him stay in the patio but the last few weeks he started chewing on everything and pretty much had turned the patio into a giant mess. So today I moved him back into the aviary with the other macaws and spent the afternoon cleaning up the patio. I'll still bring him in to hang out with me but no more hanging out by himself in our patio.
Hard to believe that it has been 23 years since the Challenger exploded. I was working outside in Miami when it lifted off and you could see the faint trail that it was leaving in the sky so we were all watching it when it and then it exploded. We couldn't really tell what had happened but it was clear that something bad had happened so we went in and turned on the news. Just tragic :(
