We up to Christy's parents for the big dead burnt bird's corpse in the middle of the dinning room table event.

Actually Thanksgiving this year was one of my better Thanksgivings. The holidays are for families and this year I seem to have a family.

Last night we packed all our kayaking gear last night and then went out and bought a tree. Then this morning we went on a Lake Boca to Lake Wyman paddle Meetup paddle that actually turned into a trip out into the ocean.

We had planned up going snorkeling at Jap Rock afterwards but we couldn't find any free parking and refused to be ripped off paying $18 to park for about one hour so instead just came home.

It was too bad that the bike racks I have coming from Ebay haven't arrived yet or we could have brought our bikes with us and left the car parked where we had used the dock for our kayaks and rode our bicycles over to where we wanted to snorkel as it was only a few miles away. Bike racks should be here next week so I guess next time that is what we will do.

I said good by to having a land line this week. I've had a land line since I moved out on my own when I was a teenager so it was a bit strange not having one after all these years. It was like saying good by to an old friend.

Over the years I've had the phone that was hard wired to the wall. Then I thought it was great when they gave us phone jacks. Then just about every type of cordless phone made. For the last five or so years I've had Vonage as my land line service simringing into my cell line and have been using the house cordless phones that were connected to it less and less.

With the cell phone plan I'm on I found that I was never using my land line and having two numbers was more hassle then it was worth so today my Vonage number was ported over to my cell phone and disconnected.

I do still have a line going to my alarm system that also carries my dsl but no phones plugged into it although I do have a multifunction printer also plugged into it for those that haven't moved into the 21st century and still use faxes.

Now I've got a big pile of cordless phones now that I don't know what to do with.

Going to drag out the Christmas decorations tonight. Light a fire in the fireplace and deck out of Christmas tree.

Wild Swingers House Party

For the last four days she has been going from tree to tree circling our house every since she flew out of her cage while I was cleaning it.

Finally today she got low enough in our mango tree that I was able to stand on a table and get her to come to me.

I wasn't taking any chances so as soon as I got close enough to grab her I did and brought her straight into our kitchen to trim her wings.

She seems very happy to be back home and has been eating, drinking water and grooming her mate all day.

Personally I just happy that she was safe and back home.

Party On The Pool Table

I ended up at a wine bar named The Naked Grape last night which was rather odd since I dislike wine.

This week's copy of New Times that was being given out there was both tragic and ironic. I really doubt there will still be printed newspapers within 10 years.

It was a LINK Networking event where everyone hands out their business cards and does some networking. It was actually rather enjoyable with a colorful assortment of people there.

I'm not much of a drinker but felt like I should have something alcoholic in my hand so ordered some kind of overpriced dark ale that was pretty decent. At least it was until I got a rather nauseating buzz from it and then had to pee really badly and discovering that the wine bar did not have a restroom, WTF.

It's bike riding weather again. The other day I bought a new seat for my bike with a lot more padding so no more sore butt and yesterday I found a really great buy on two Yakama bike racks on Ebay. I'm hoping that the racks get here in time for us to take our bikes with us for Thanksgiving.

We are having dinner at Christy's parents place who, despite going to many times each week, having a house full of religious crap and blocking out that I'm their daughters tattooed lesbian older lover, are actually very nice to me. I think it may have been my computer skills that won them over.

Being that I'm a vegetarian the whole burnt dead turkey copse in the middle of the table is rather gross to me but I do love apple and pumpkin pie. Providing the bike racks get here in time it will be nice to be able to work off the dinner by going for a ride in Chrity's old neighborhood.

We went kayaking on Westlake Park yesterday, wow are my arms so today. It didn't help that I was still a bit sore from doing a Wednesday night paddle with a Meetup group.

We've had our windows are open for the past week. The weather has been perfect and our macaws are squawking each morning is our natural alarm clock making sure that we are woken up at sunrise each morning.

Apple rocks... Christy's iPhone hasn't been running right since the last time she dropped it. There wasn't any signs of physical damage to it but it kept on doing strange stuff and ran real slow. Apple took a look at it and gave her a brand new one at no charge. Of course we didn't mention that it had been dropped. We did buy the lasted new and improved Incase cases for them while we were there. This makes the third Incase case that I've bought for my iPhone and Christy's second. They keep on improving the case just enough that it's worth buying the new model each time.

Outdoor Lesbo Threeway Orgy

Looking to be a beautiful day here with highs in the eighties. Hopefully this weather will hold out through the weekend so that we can get some kayaking in this weekend since last weekend was ruined by high winds and 5 foot seas that forced us to cancel our plans.

Spent all day yesterday waiting for UPS to deliver the kickstand that I ordered for our kayak trailer over a month ago. Since I was stuck home anyway after I finished doing my office work I finally got around to installing a clothes line in the garage made out of vinyl covered wire that is going to double as a drying line for kayaking accessories since the regular clothes line that we had couldn't hold the weight of everything and came crashing down.

Work, gym, errands and more work is on today's agenda and then I'll probably give the TV show V one more chance tonight.

Three Sluts On a Dude

Up early again this morning. It's so bright so early in the morning that I've been getting up really early. Too bad it's getting dark at 5:30 in the afternoon. By 9:30 in the evening I'm ready to go to bed. Damn I hate the time change.

I'm just about completely recovered from last weekend but still a bit sore and stiff plus my ears are peeling due to getting sunburned. It also doesn't help that I'm still dealing with the last lingering remnants of a cold. On a positive note Christy commented that my body is looking much better and I'm losing weight. I guess all this kayaking is either getting me back in shape or killing me.

Hopefully I'll be fully recovered by this Sunday since I'm planing on doing a kayaking snorkeling trip up at Peanut Island.

Spent a few days this week trying to find a nice big hat to wear kayaking this weekend. I wanted a nice big bucket hat in a light color and had a hell of a time finding one at any of the local stores. I went to two malls and both were full of really warm winter clothes which just makes no sense since it's hot as hell here and we at most get a couple of chilly days and often not even that. If I do get a urge to commit suicide by dressing up in winter clothes and go out in our steamy tropical heat it's nice to know that I'l have lots to choose from and will leave a stylishly dressed corpse.

I did finally manage to find a hat for kayaking that was more or less what I was looking for at a local swimwear shop. The price was a bit more then I had planned but it will do for now. I bought it in desert color but the picture shows it in blue.

After spending days trying to download a Torrent of Battlestar Galactica The Plan I discovered that it could be bought on iTunes so I bought it. The movie is surprisingly good. Much better than Caprica was but, like all BSG, leaves you wanting more so I guess it's good that I bought a copy since Ron Moore has started that if 750,000 copies are sold they will be making more BSG movies.

Tried to watch the new TV series V last night. Ended up just forward fasting it when I got bored with it. Right, aliens with super advanced tech needing C4 from humans to blow things up and lizards wearing human skin attracted to and falling in love with humans.

Spent all day yesterday deep cleaning our house. It had been sometime since we had moved all the furniture and really cleaned all the nooks and crannies. By the time we were done all we wanted to do was take a shower and collapse in bed but we had all ready made plans for a Halloween night paddle.

We drank some Red Bull and packed up all our kayaking gear and went kayaking still exhausted from a day of cleaning.

It was another great paddle with friendly great people. Being under the full moon Halloween night was a wonderful experience although I was so fucking tired and sore that I had a hard time keeping up with the group at times and was relieved that it was a short under 4 mile paddle with very little wind.

When we got back to the dock I discovered that I had somehow picked up a fish hitchhiker in my kayak. I put it back in the water so that it could do whatever it is that fish do. I have no idea how the hell he got in my kayak or how long it had been there.

Christy is up at her parents place today to have lunch with some of her visiting relatives and I'm doing all the laundry that has pilled up this week. When she gets home this evening going to veg out and watch the BSG movie The Plan that I bought off of iTunes yesterday and then, if we are still awake, watch tonight's episode of Dexter.

Speaking of movies... The other night we watched a really very good thriller with a couple of really hot lesbian scenes called Bond.
